Curriculum Vitae Breve – Dr. Enrico Meli
Il Dr. Enrico Meli (11/06/1982, Firenze, Italia) ha ottenuto sia la sua Laurea Triennale in Ingegneria Meccanica (2004) che la sua Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Matematica (2006) presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università di Firenze, mentre ha ottenuto il suo Dottorato (Ph. D.) in Meccanica Applicata presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università di Bologna (2010). Dal 2015 è Assistant Professor presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale dell’Università di Firenze.
I suoi principali temi di ricerca includono la meccanica dei veicoli, le turbomacchine, la robotica e la meccatronica. Nell’ambito di queste tematiche ha partecipato a vari importanti progetti di ricerca nazionali e internazionali, finanziati sia da enti pubblici (Unione Europea, Ministeri Italiani, Regione Toscana, etc.) che da aziende private leader del settore (Ferrovie dello Stato, Hitachi Rail Italy, General Electric, Thales, etc.). Nel 2014 è risultato vincitore del bando “SIR 2014 - Scientific Independence of young Researchers” finanziato dal Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Università e della Ricerca (MIUR) con il progetto del progetto “Design of innovative high speed high efficiency compressors” di cui è PrincipaI Investigator (PI).
Il Dr. Enrico Meli è attualmente autore di oltre 50 pubblicazioni su riviste internazionali con elevato Impact Factor e di oltre 120 pubblicazioni su atti di congressi internazionali, ed è inoltre reviewer per molte importanti riviste internazionali dei settori sopracitati. Nel corso degli anni è stato supervisore di oltre 70 tra tesi triennali e magistrali e di oltre 10 tesi di dottorato.
